Artist's Statement
Adrew McLaren: My work responds to systems and conventions of signification. As such formal or anti- formal approaches are adopted using numeric, written language, mapping or pictoral frameworks. Incidental relations, artefacts of process, figments of media and narrative anecdote are all elements in different aspects of my output. Repetition, variation and structural development are productive strategies which inform my digital and materially fabricated art. In short, I make stuff.
