About the Artist

Luke Moran-Morris is a photographer, artist & designer. His work takes a unique view of subjects such as human interaction, communities, journeys, hospitality and nostalgia.

This Project in particular; 'Memento'. focuses on people who keep a personal reminder (often a photograph) of someone on them at all times. The portraits were all taken by asking complete strangers on the streets of London & Kingston; 'do you keep a photo of someone in your wallet'. The responses are varied, intriguing and in some instances very revealing. The photographs  form a narrative through the format of the book and are accompanied by transcribed quotes from the subjects about why they keep hold of that particular image.
