About the Artist
Hi Artz is Helen Ingham "I am a artist-printer and designer and began researching and using letterpress in 2002. I wouldn't describe myself as a Luddite, but I still extensively use this 500+ year old print technology in my work which has been described as a timeless meeting point between graphic design and fine art. I studied at Central St Martins College of Art, during which time I worked as an intern for Hatch Showprint in Nashville, Tennessee (who have been producing show posters since 1879). I graduated with an MA in Communication Design in 2005. My final show, which featured a set of 16 posters, was described by many as a breath of fresh air in a largely digital environment. In addition to my practice, I run short courses and events at Central St Martins and St Bride Foundation Print Workshop.
