About the Artist

Stuart Tolley was educated at the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, gaining a BA(Hons) and MA in Visual Communication. He then moved to London where he was employed as a designer at the award winning style magazine Sleazenation.

He left to become the acting art director of the Independent on Saturday Magazine when it was a photo-journalist title and later senior designer at Esquire. Before founding Transmission he art directed bespoke magazines for high profile clients including French Connection, TagHeuer, Schweppes and Fallen Vodka.
